Our School
I would like to welcome you to Ashton Hayes Primary School website and thank you for your interest in our School. We hope that this web site will act as a guide to the way the school strives to achieve the aims set out in our aims.
Ashton Hayes Primary School is a family and creates a welcoming, caring and safe environment for our children. It generates an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect where each member is valued. We recognise that all children are unique and offer appropriate support and challenge. All our children are encouraged to reach their potential, to celebrate their successes, while becoming confident and independent individuals.
Our School is proud of its strong community. We value our partnership with parents, the local Church and the wider community. We acknowledge the crucial role played by parents as an integral part of our school community and we appreciate their involvement in the life and the work of the School.
At Ashton Hayes Primary School, children are encouraged to be respectful and sensitive to the needs of others. Children are given opportunities within the classroom to develop their nurturing skills. In addition, they have opportunities to be elected to the Pupil Parliament and to take on other roles and responsibilities in and around the school.
We aim to foster a love of learning in our children and to allow every child to work to the best of their ability. We strive for excellence in all we do. We are currently developing our curriculum in order to make it even more enjoyable and relevant for children while at the same time maintaining rigour and high expectations. We hope that by the time children leave Ashton Hayes Primary School they will have embraced all the opportunities available to them and will have achieved the very best of which they are capable. They will have enjoyed their time at Ashton Hayes Primary School and developed their confidence and independence. We will have helped them to learn the skills and attitudes necessary to take on the new and exciting challenges of secondary school and to become responsible aware citizens in our multicultural society.
I look forward to meeting you and to answering any questions that you may have.
