Tracy Snell

I became a parent governor in June 2018 and currently have two children at the school, one in key stage 1 and one in key stage 2. I am part of the Curriculum, Children and Staffing Committee and the link governor for outdoor learning (which also includes Science and PE).

I am a Chartered Landscape Architect working as a Garden Manager for the Royal Horticultural Society. I have spent the past 16 years managing and designing large-scale projects, managing budgets and balancing development with environmental benefit, to provide sustainable places for people to live, learn and work. Outside of work I love spending time in my garden, at my allotment or enjoying the outdoors.

Every Friday you will find me in the school garden sharing my passion for science, the environment and horticulture with the children. I started volunteering in the school in September 2017 and during this time I have worked closely with the school to develop and expand the school garden, advising and contributing to funding bids and arranging local volunteer help to deliver improvements. I am also an Eco-Schools Assessor and work closely with the school to develop their environmental values.

I enjoy my role as a parent governor as I feel I can contribute positively to helping the school deliver learning excellence for all.
