Carcassonne Trip

Date: 5th Oct 2016 @ 9:50am

On Friday 7th October, Mrs Cuthbert will be leaving for Carcassonne. It is going to be an exciting week, incluing a visit to our partner school in Garidech. Mrs Pond will be arriving on Monday and also visiting Garidech, developing the links she set up there a year ago. Mrs Cuthbert will be keeping us updated on her progress on both the blog and Facebook page!

hello Kestrel class! Perrine is having a lovely time in France... We went in a big aeroplane and when we arrived, started exploring. We visited the medieval city and found out lots of French facts. We had to ask questions in France and then eat Camembert, a type of cheese.

This morning, after croissant and ham for breakfast we went to the college to start learning some more Fench words.

I hope you are all having fun back in Ashton Hayes?

Love Mrs Cuthbert and Perrine Bear- (nounours is teddy in French!)

Friday 14th Octeber

We have had a busy week, developing our language classes at the local college Juls de Fils- we have had a lovely tutor Emmanuelle who has taught us how to conjugate our verbs and develop phrases. We have also had methodology classes where we have been learning games and activities pro play with the children.

I have visited the school in Garidech and met children aged from 3-11, exploring differences and similarities between the French and English school systems.

We have sampled many local dishes including cassoulet, crepes, confit duck, French onion soup and creme brûlée.

Today we are heading home after a busy yet exciting week!

Au Revoir!

Mrs Cuthbert and Madam Pond
